The poster features a microphone developed in 1988 by Marko Turk, a Slovenian engineer and pioneer of electroacoustics. His microphones combined technical precision with distinctive industrial design, following the principle that form derives from function.
Turk’s work extended beyond the local context. One of his earlier microphones, the MD 9 model, was included in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1964, and a year later he received the Prešeren Award for his work. Today, his products are considered an important part of the technical and design heritage of former Yugoslavia.
Marko Turk is regarded as a pioneer of electroacoustics, known for microphones that are also part of the MoMA collection.
